Tampa's Home for Live Music!
“How many places can you go to on a Friday night where you’ll find fresh steak, fresh seafood and live entertainment with absolutely no cover charge?” Says O’Brien’s Irish Pub’s GM Joe Carey, with a knowing smile.
Not many, you think to yourself, and of course Joe’s right. It’s no wonder the air in O’Brien’s is buzzing with happy chatter, boisterous laughter, the wonderful aroma of food wafting from the kitchen, and the clinking of glasses being raised between friends.
O’Brien’s Irish Pub & Grill has been a cherished part of the Tampa landscape for over 22-years. The original O’Brien’s was more ‘drinks-oriented’ due to its limited size, but the cavernous new location (complete with huge outside patio bar) puts food very much to the fore thanks to a large kitchen area and highly talented chefs. Food, a huge array of drinks and myriad entertainment options – it’s true to say this vibrant family restaurant and bar offers much.
“O’Brien’s is a community,” says Joe, by way of explaining O’Brien’s phenomenal and enduring popularity, “it’s exactly what a public house is intended to be. We provide a cozy restaurant atmosphere during the day, enjoyable nightlife for people in the evening, and we also provide live entertainment many nights of the week. O’Brien’s is a social center in the true sense of a traditional European public house.”
With 20 beer taps and countless liquors available at the inside bar and 10 beer taps and many liquor options at the outside bar, you can certainly whet your whistle at O’Brien’s. Irish standards Guinness and Jameson’s are both very popular, but there’s also a dazzling choice of domestic, imported and craft beers available.
The menu is a monster with 11-pages packed with mouthwatering temptations for every taste. Many of the hearty appetizers are a meal on their own, and elsewhere you will find salads, sandwiches, burgers and sliders, pasta dishes and the ‘Irish Favorites’. These include crowd favorites Shepherd’s Pie, Bangers and Mash (with Guinness Gravy, of course!) and Traditional Irish Fish ‘n’ Chips.
A gold recipient for ‘Best Irish Pub’ virtually every year, O’Brien’s is, quite simply, a great evening out for family, friends, or anyone seeking fun and enjoyment in their lives.
O'Brien's features a variety of live bands every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night. Styles vary between classic rock, R&B, modern top 40, reggae and blues.
Chef Gary Niles provides fresh specials every weekend, open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.
